Curelator is a digital health company focused on developing a clinical grade disease management platform for patients and clinicians. The company is based in Cambridge MA with operations in the US as well as Barcelona, Spain, UK and Germany.

Our product is a clinically validated patient-centric, digital platform that combines big data and proprietary small data (n=1) analytics to measure the impact of a wide spectrum of factors and medications on individuals with chronic diseases who have debilitating episodic attacks.

N1‑Headache, our first application is being used in clinical studies with multiple institutions, which have generated several groundbreaking findings that have advanced the clinical management of migraine. Curelator collects patient reported data remotely and provides individual analysis to headache clinics.

The position

Full-time contractor Quality Assurance Lead, senior level, to oversee quality control throughout the development of software by creating, coordinating and executing testing protocols. They will be responsible to monitor every phase of the development process to ensure that the design and software adhere to company and international standards.

As the QA Lead, you will:

  • Review requirements specifications and technical design documents to provide timely and meaningful feedback
  • Implement test automation and testing methodology (ex: TDD or BDD)
  • Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan, coordinate and execute testing activities
  • Test new and existing features, write and debug testing code (units and integration) and report errors and failures
  • Work collaboratively with the developing team to correct errors and participate in testing for product releases
  • Design, develop and execute automation scripts as applicable
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly and track bugs
  • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved
  • Catalog and maintain test scenario library
  • Record test progress and results
  • Drive innovation and streamline overall testing processes

We are looking for somebody based in Barcelona, who can work remotely, with strong communication skills, especially in English.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering or work related experience
  • 3+ years of experience in software testing/software quality role
  • Strong knowledge of software development life cycle
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams toward task completion
  • Experience in writing clear, concise and comprehensive test plans and test cases
  • Ability to work independently within a quickly changing environment with strict deadlines; to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast paced environment
  • Experience testing mobile applications (iOS / Android)
  • Knowledge of QA testing software, QA methodologies, tools and processes.
  • Knowledge of System testing and Usability testing tools
  • Working knowledge of Python and Javascript
  • Experience using version control systems (ex: Git, Mercurial, etc.)
  • Any of the following is considered a plus:
    • Experience in development and testing of medical devices / medical software
    • Experience with ANSI/AAMI/IEC 62304
    • ISTQB - Foundation Level certification
    • Experience using project tracking software (ex: JIRA)
  • Soft skills:
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
    • Ability to work autonomously and in a team
    • Keen attention to detail
    • Ability to solve complex problems
    • Understanding of User Experience
    • Determination and tenacity to commit to the end when solving issues

Compensation

Between €35,000 and €50,000, depending on the experience, plus an equity sharing plan.

Web Developer

The position

Full-time contractor web developer, intermediate or senior level, to architect, build and maintain our web based products and properties and help build new features and products.

As a web developer, you will:

  • Implement new features and changes to our React/Flux/ES6-based user management and data visualization dashboard.
  • Maintain and improve our company and product responsive websites.
  • Build responsive email templates and manage newsletter campaigns.
  • Participate to design and specifications of new features and products.
  • Work from home, meet a few times a week in person and daily on Slack.

Requirements and Skills

  • Experience shipping high quality and scalable code in a mission-critical environment.
  • Proficiency in Javascript/ES6, HTML, CSS and React.
  • Commitment to development best practices, unit testing and continuous integration.
  • Experience with responsive Web design and optimizing client-side performance.
  • Experience using Javascript unit testing and automation tools (Karma, Webpack, Selenium).
  • Knowledge of automation and dependencies management tools such as NPM and Gulp.
  • BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
