How can I know what everyday things can influence my migraine and affect its frequency and severity?

Track for 3 months to find out…

Protector Map®

Potential “protectors” are factors associated with lower risk of a migraine attack.

N1‑Headache pioneered the identification of protective factors. These are often associated with pleasant experiences that reduce stress, including exercise, massage, or even traveling.

Trigger Map®

Potential “triggers” are factors associated with increased risk of migraine attack.

These may include everyday things you can self-manage, such as getting sufficient sleep, drinking plenty of water, and not missing meals.

No Association Map

No Association factors are not associated with your risk of migraine attack.

These factors may include foods and drinks you have been avoiding for no good scientific reason.

How do I discover my personal risk factors and confirm suspected triggers?

Follow these easy steps:

1. Download the app and customize your Daily Diary

Information you provide us at registration allows us to customize your N1‑Headache Daily Diary.

If you are a Premium member, you can personalize your diary by enabling/disabling predefined factors on your daily tracking list.

2. Add your treatments and your suspected risk factors

N1‑Headache uses an international medication database. If your medication is not on the list, you can add it manually. Same for your non-pharmacological treatments.

We developed our list of factors in collaboration with leading migraine specialists. You can also add suspected factors to your daily tracking list.

3. Track your symptoms and your list of suspected factors for 90 days

In less than 3 minutes you can enter all your daily data, using our unique Visual Migraine Language® and 1 tap data entry.

90 days of daily data entry is required to identify factors associated with migraine attack days and migraine attack-free days. Tracking every day will improve the accuracy of your results.

How do I monitor my response to treatments?

Use these features to evaluate your progress

Time Period Comparison

Have you changed treatments?

N1‑Headache allows you to compare the number, severity, and duration of your headache/migraine attacks between two different periods of time. This feature makes it easy to compare the effectiveness of different medications and other therapies.

MIDAS and Monthly Disability Score

MIDAS helps you measure the impact of your headache/migraine in terms of missed days at work or school or other activities where you were less productive than normal in the previous 90 days.

Your Monthly Disability Score is based on the information you give us about the impact of your headache/migraine.

How will my data will be summarized?

Depending on your N1‑Headache account

My Data

Summary of your data (available at any time) featuring comprehensive visualizations of your tracked data, as well as a Time Period Comparison function that allows you to note the similarity or dissimilarity of the number, severity and duration of your headache/migraine attacks.

Available for all users.

Personal Analytical Report

All users can receive a PDF providing a summary of all of their tracked data at any time.

Premium users exclusively receive our highly personalized analysis of the risk factors that may increase, decrease or have no effect on their attacks reflected in each of their individual maps, incorporated within the Report.
